pastoral interview

This morning I meet with the pastor of Tri-County Worship Center in Bethel, PA. Ted or as he likes to be called Pastor Ted st with me in a relaxed atmosphere as i posed questions to him concerning ministry, mainly his. Ted said;” even early on i just knew that I had a burden to share what God had done in my life”. He went on to say that after he became saved in college his burden turned into a calling. He moved from studying law and moved into ministry. When asking what type of leader do you see you self as he said;” I like the idea of inviting or team leadership to try to find God’s heart in situations”. He went on to say his greatest joy is just serving this great God through evanglism, delivering God’s message through sermons or just working the streets with the lost. Study; praying and then studying some, more is how I find what to preach on. Taking notes finding illustrations and perfecting the message is the key to his approach to preaching. The goal is to motivate God’s people to serve and live for him. When faced with counseling at the church he says forming relationships is essential because you can speak into ther lives with meaning, fellowship with the body is key. Ted said; “the more I learn about God the more I encourage people to be faithful and share about what God is doing in thier lives”.  His strength is evanglism because of what God has done in his life he cannot help but share. When posed the question what is your church facing right now he said; “we have a good spirit in the church as a whole and I am grateful that God still sustains”. Moving forward in the Lord Ted said he is studying Greek and said that he is keeping his heart in tune with God’s. It was my pleasure to speak with Ted about ministy and am encouraged to continue in the faith that Christ has laid out before me.
